CELEBRATING 20 YEARS

Twenty Years of God’s Goodness in Eswatini

What began with one vision trip in August 2006 became a twenty-year partnership with pastors, leaders, families and communities across Eswatini.

For two decades, Beyond Survival has continued to return, build relationships and create opportunities for others to thrive.

It Began in August 2006.

Rick traveled to Eswatini for the very first time in August 2006.

What he saw during that vision trip could not be unseen. Children without parents. Families struggling to survive. Pastors and community leaders carrying an enormous burden as their nation faced the devastating effects of the HIV/AIDS crisis.

On the plane ride home, one thought stayed with him:

“It would have been better for me not to have seen, than to have seen and do nothing.”

So Rick and Laura chose to do something.

What began as one family responding to an undeniable call became a twenty-year vision to partnership with pastors, leaders and communities across Eswatini.

TEAMS THAT MADE IT POSSIBLE

Twenty years.

Countless miles traveled.

Hundreds of people willing to say yes.

Beyond Survival's story has been shaped by every person who traveled, served, taught, built, encouraged, prayed, gave and formed relationships with the people of Eswatini.

Some came once. Some returned again and again. Every person became part of the story.

We would love for you to join us in this mission

The first twenty years were filled with moments we could never have predicted.

Relationships became friendships.

Children became adults.

Young people became leaders.

Ideas became businesses.

Projects became sustainable ministries.

And a vision trip became a twenty-year calling.

But this story isn't finished.

There are still people to encourage, leaders to equip, children to invest in, and communities to walk alongside.

Will You Be Part of the Next Chapter?
